Descripcion de Arequipa
Conocida como la Ciudad Blanca por sus hermosos muros blancos de sillar, una piedra de origen volcánico. Arequipa esta rodeada de los volcanes Chachani y Misti y del nevado Pichu Pichu. Tiene grandes atractivos turisticos como es el Monasterio de Santa Catalina, La Compañía , distritos costumbristas como Sabandía, Tiabaya y Tingo, y la irresistible gastronomía arequipeña
A pocos kilómetros se ubica el Valle y Cañón del Colca. En el valle además, se practican deportes de aventura como ciclismo de montaña, trekking y canotaje, y en la Cruz del Cóndor puede apreciarse el majestuoso vuelo de los cóndores. Otros lugares de interés en el departamento son los Petroglifos de Toro Muerto, el valle de los volcanes de Andagua y el Cañón de Cotahuasi.
